Hole In One Insurance Explained

Here at UK Hole In One.com we like to make things simple for our clients which is why we’ve put together this short guide  –  ‘Hole In One Insurance Explained‘ –  to show you how hole in one insurance works and give you some tips on running a hole in one event.  Once you’ve read this you should be able to get your charity, corporate or club hole in one event into action.

Hole In One Competition Guide

  • Decide on your main prize and its value e.g a car, boat, luxury holiday or prize money.  Bigger prizes will attract more attendees and, should someone shoot a hole in one, more publicity!  Here at UK Hole In One we can insure prizes of up to £50,000
  • Decide if you wish to give ancillary prizes on other par 3s.  Ancillary prizes – such as a set of golf clubs or golf club membership – are great ways to add excitement outside of the main hole in one hole.  Just make sure everyone knows what’s on offer on each hole
  • Select a suitable par 3 golf hole for the hole in one hole.  This must play a minimum of 150 yards from the men’s tees and a minimum of 135 yards from the ladies’ tees.  You can find help in setting up the hole in one hole here
  • Buy a UK Hole In One insurance policy online to cover the cost of providing the prize if a participant in your hole in one day shoots a hole in one.  The premium is based on the number of participants, the distance they are playing from and the value of the main prize.  If you’d like to know more about our hole in one insurance then please call us on 0345 370 2844 or contact us by clicking here
  • Use the form we provide to instruct the golf club how to set up the hole designated for the major prize. We can help make your hole in one event easy to set up and run, so when you get a policy from us you’ll also get help with arranging the day.
  • Select a suitable witness(es) for the main prize hole.  Again as part of the UK Hole In One service we’ll help you with witness instructions for the day so if someone does shoot a hole in one there’ll be no complications later.   Oh by the way, you don’t need a witness for ancillary prize holes
  • Ensure your participating players are playing in teams of three or four and issue them with them with a set of UK Hole In One competition instructions
  • Get hole in one day sponsorship – if you’ve chosen a car or some other big ticket item as your hole in one prize then you may be able to persuade your supplier – car dealership etc. – to provide it in exchange for advertising their business.  Hole in one days with big prizes attached draw a lot of attention – especially if someone shoots a hole in one – and if the event is in aid of charity that’s a lot of good publicity for the prize supplier
  • Ensure cars are insured – if you’re offering a car as the prize then make sure it’s insured by the dealership
  • Shoot the hole in one hole – even if it’s just on your phone make sure that you shoot a video of the attempts at your hole in one hole.  Footage of someone shooting a hole in one is newsworthy and will make a memorable memento for all those attending your hole in one event
  • Contact us on 0345 370 2844– in the event of a lucky participant shooting a hole in one on your insured hole and we’ll get your claim processed quickly and without fuss

Well we hope that gives you a clearer understanding as to how hole in one insurance works.  If you would like any specific help or advice regarding running a hole in one competition or would like to discuss a policy then please call us on 0345 370 2844, contact us by clicking here or for a policy quotation please click here
